“Trade missions have been an incredible tool to enhance our partnerships with countries in key areas such as tourism and mining, while also fostering collaboration in areas that may be lesser known such as water technology,” said Governor Brian Sandoval. “I am excited to lead a delegation of Nevada’s representatives to help facilitate a direct dialogue between Nevada’s industry and higher education leaders and their counterparts in South America. These conversations will be centered on innovation in the mining industry, water technology and commercialization, collaborations in academic research as well as bilateral opportunities to jointly fund pilot projects in areas where Nevada is emerging as an international leader.”
During the mission, the Governor and his delegation are expected to meet with several key figures, including President of the Republic of Peru Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and President of the Republic of Chile Michelle Bachelet.
The Governor and his delegation will also meet with: S.E. Roberto, Minister of Canal Affairs for the Panama Maritime Authority; Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines; Ricardo Luna Mendoza, Minister of Foreign Relations for the Republic of Peru; U.S. Ambassador Brian A.
